Vibrant Ayurveda Open Day 2014 Review by Fiona

Vibrant Ayurveda held a very successful free open day on 29th of March 2014 to celebrate the opening of their new clinic in Vulture Street, West End.  Well over 200 people attended throughout the day.  Some came to take a look at the new clinic and get a feel for the place while others came to purchase from the huge range of Ayurvedic health products on special that day. The free seminars or demonstrations were the attraction for some people and yet others came to take advantage of the free Indian head and shoulder massage or free consultation.

The Open Day program offered by Vibrant Ayurveda was certainly very comprehensive with a host of Ayurvedic practitioners speaking on a wide variety of topics on how to achieve that vibrant good health that we are all searching after.

I hadn’t been to the new clinic before and I was so impressed with the program being offered, I thought I’d take the opportunity to attend the Open day.  I was warmly welcomed upon my arrival.  The staff members were very friendly and I immediately felt comfortable and relaxed.  A lovely young Nepalese lady gave me a free gift pack and a delicious cup of Ayurvedic Chai tea and proceeded to show me around the clinic. White walls with a touch of vibrant green and light wooden furniture gave it a fresh, crisp, clean feel and beautiful Vedic paintings gave it that Authentic Ayurvedic touch.

The program kicked off at 9am, which gave everyone time to meet the staff members and have a look around before the first seminar, “Learn your Ayurvedic body type.”  This was a great place to start, especially for people who hadn’t experienced Ayurveda before.  Understanding your body type is an absolute necessity in order to know the right diet and lifestyle to follow.  Next was “Detoxification and Rejuvenation” and then the cooking demonstration.  The dhal and kitcheri were simple to prepare and smelled absolutely delicious.  A traditional Nepalese lunch was then served, which was perfect timing; I sure was getting hungry after smelling those fragrant aromas during the cooking class.

After lunch there were a number of seminars including breathing techniques to calm the mind, the right diet and lifestyle for your body type and some demonstrations on Ayurvedic treatments.

One thing that really stood out for me at the open day was that the staff members looked so vibrant. They oozed vitality and good health; their faces were bright and shiny.  I decided on the day that I want to be like that too and with the information I was given at the open day, I felt that it was easily achievable; there was actually nothing to stopping me.   Thank you Dr Pradeep, I’m on my way to living a full and healthy life.
