Tour, Trek, Yoga and Ayurveda Detox Retreat

[Held in the Majestic Himalayas of Nepal]
2022/10/8 to 2022/10/28

Nepal is a country offering a heaven-like beauty found nowhere else on Earth.   It is undoubtedly a country rich in natural beauty and destinations with its massive Himalayan glaciers, pristine lakes, waterfalls, and the lush forests that cover the land like an emerald carpet.  Adorned and enriched with diversity encompassing innumerable gifts full of wonders as well as complimenting a state of solitude. Nepal is a heaven-like destination perfect for beautiful vacations with a gorgeous Himalayan tapestry to the north. Adorned with many places of worship, the opulent monasteries, temples and chortens (shrines) which add a spiritual ambiance to your experience. Even if you have been to Nepal before – once is not enough!

We are excited to inform you that the trek is now going to be led by Dr. Pradeep Neupane from our Brisbane Clinc. Dr. Neupane was born and grew up in Nepal and therefore has in-depth knowledge of its cultural heritage, beauty and historical landmarks and will do everything possible to ensure your comfort and needs are well looked after.   Dr. Neupane will also be conducting light and rejuvenating yoga before each day’s trek. Daily treks will be guided by professional guides and Sherpas.

Please ensure you book  flights ASAP if you are planning to join this life-changing opportunity as there are limited airlines operating at the moment to Nepal and they book out quickly especially as this is a very busy season for travelling to Nepal. Please call Dr Pradeep on 0452506389 for further information regarding flights and retreat.

Fitness level required: Medium

Please note that we have kept the price of the retreat as low as possible as the main aim is to support the economy of the Nepalese community and sherpas (who have been severely affected by Covid restrictions).

Below is the updated travel plan:

FEEDBACK for Himalayan Tour and Detox Retreat
Nepal Experience:
“It is hard to think of anything more that could have been done to make this trip better.
This tour is an experience-packed introduction to Nepalese culture in general, and Ayurveda in particular. You are in excellent hands with the tour operators, Nanda and Deependra, who have thought of everything to ensure a comfortable and safe tour and retreat”

“The hotels for our accommodation in three different cities were great. The rooms were nice, the food was good and the staff very helpful. In Kathmandu, it was a pleasant oasis in the busy city.”
“The Kathmandu tour was very memorable. The school help program before the trekking retreat was amazing. We had the best experience of our lives while meeting with locals and school students. Some participants felt like they will continue to provide support to the schools.”

“The hosts and guides were great, and very helpful. The trek was a little tough, but the sherpas were warm, friendly and welcoming. We never felt in danger or without help. Meals were delicious. The tents and sleeping bags were great, perfect for the conditions.”

“Every morning’s yoga/stretching and evening’s meditation classes made the trip very relaxing.” “Mixing up with villagers and being able to see the how they live their lives was very fascinating.”

“Pokhara is a beautiful city. The tour was very good.”

“Chitwan was great. All the activities were really good fun. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and the days were well-planned and ran to schedule. A great part of the trip.”
“I can’t effuse enough about my recent Nepal Trek with Vibrant Ayurveda and Review Nepal.

“The trekking was incredibly beautiful and powerful as we walked to one of Nepal’s most holy lakes and the grand vista of the Himalayas opened up for us on the morning of our pilgrimage there. Our every need was taken care of by our Sherpas, porters and hosts. Finally, our visit to the school was one of the greatest heart opening experiences of my life. The joy, gratitude and hospitality of the children and their families is imprinted on me forever. I have fallen in love with Nepal and would not hesitate to return.”

“It was wonderful to be greeted by Nanda and Babu’s smiling faces at the airport. I felt they cared for us and about us deeply. It was clear that our happiness was top of their list of priorities. I know they found it hard when they saw us struggling at times but did what they could to help. I felt safe at all times. Babu’s stories and encouragement while we were trekking made me smile and he generously shared tales of the spiritual meanings of places we visited. I do not think we would have been fortunate enough to have seen/done/experienced many of the things we had if we had gone with a typical tourist company. This was really a ‘ Review Nepal ‘.

It is unbelievable that we fitted so much into such a short trip; Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, the trek, visit to the private hospital, ayurvedic hospital, a couple of massages , historical sites, nepalese restaurants and so much more.  It was a great trip for me, tiring, yes, at times. But I have a sense of achievement and happiness which is still lasting. Life is not always easy! Thank you so much for putting such a huge amount of time and effort into organising this trip.”
Ayurveda Detox Retreat – Pokhara
“The Ayurveda Health Home is a world class facility staffed by the warmest and most professional doctors, therapists, cooks and ancilliary staff one could find anywhere. We have no hesitation in recommending this tour to those looking for a good detox with a very informative tour.”

“This facility is world class. The food, especially, is excellent. Tailored to the individual, depending on his / her journey through the treatments, it is simple, nourishing and delicious. All our group were keen to get copies of the chef’s recipes. Service, also, is prompt and caring with the quiet efficiency we came to see as AHH’s hallmark.”

“An unforgettable experience. From the moment of arrival to departure, one is truly cared for. The solar hot water is sometimes unavailable on cloudy days (to be expected), but in all other respects, including the view over the lake, the peace and the lovely staff, the accommodation is excellent. Staying in-house does, of course make accessing the treatments very easy as well.”

“These guys are professionals. From the moment one clears customs at the airport until they deposit us back at the departure terminal two weeks later, there is not a contingency they haven’t covered. The guest is never left wondering what to do or where to go or with his hand in his pocket. All meals, transfers and tickets are magically taken care of as if we are visiting celebrities. Both Deepandra and Nanda have excellent English, and accompany the group everywhere. If a guest wants to shop for a particular item, one of them will go with you to smooth things over. Even on the road between cities, they organise meals at remarkably good restaurants. These gentlemen truly make the holiday work. Their humour and passion for their clients’ comfort  put the visitor immediately at their ease.”

“Our group was booked in for a 7 day detox as designed by Dr Pradeep. On arrival, there is an initial consultation with Dr Rishi Ram Koirala with Dr Rumee assisting. At this point, the need for any additional treatments to the detox panchakarma is discussed. From then on, the client is kept completely up to date with the organisation for treatments, meals and activities via posted timetables, phone calls or personal visits from resident doctors. There is never any stress or rush. The smallest request is satisfied immediately and quietly.
The therapy staff, under the supervision of Managing Director and Chief Therapist, Badyi Koirala, are very efficient and extremely solicitous of the client’s well being. The yoga and Ayurveda lessons are delivered professionally by Drs Kristina and Rumee. These, I found particularly enjoyable.”

“I’ve aleady mentioned the food and food service, but would like to mention it again  – superb. I have never experienced anything like the caring environment at AHH.”
