Shirodhara is a classical Ayurvedic therapy consisting of pouring medicated oil, decoctions, milk, buttermilk and other therapeutic liquids in a continuous flow over the forehead, particularly between the eyes (on the third eye). It is a preparatory treatment of Panchakarma and independent therapy of the head region.

This therapy is indicated for disorders related to the head, neck, ears, nose, throat, and diseases of the nervous system such as headache, insomnia, lack of concentration and memory, fatigue and dizziness, among others. It helps to improve digestion, speech and sensory organs, nourishes and rejuvenates the hair and helps maintain the balance of body and mind.
